Designed for families and small groups, this family treehouse invites you to share an unforgettable stay in the heart of the forest.

Perched 3.75 meters high among several magnificent oak trees, it consists of two bedrooms, each approximately 10m², and a spacious 15m² terrace, ideal for gathering, having breakfast, or simply enjoying the tranquility of nature.

Access is via a spiral staircase, built around a raw tree trunk, adding a touch of authenticity to this unique experience. The terrace is fully secured with a protective net and an access gate.

The treehouse can accommodate up to 5 people. It is equipped with a double bed (140 × 190 cm), two bunk beds, and a trundle bed. Duvets and pillows are provided, as well as a table with chairs, solar lighting, tealight holders (except in summer), a fire extinguisher, a smoke detector, and dry toilets.

To preserve the authentic spirit of treehouses, this accommodation does not have running water or electricity.

Breakfast is included and will be served to help you start your day gently, in the heart of nature.

A shared sanitary block, located approximately 80 meters from the treehouse, provides showers, sinks, and toilets, offering you all the necessary comfort during your stay.

Practical information

What to bring for your stay
To preserve the quality of our bedding, we ask you to bring a set of sheets (fitted sheet or flat sheet, duvet cover or top sheet) as well as pillowcases. Duvets and pillows are provided. Sleeping bags are accepted, but it is essential to also bring pillowcases. Sleeping kits are available as an option.

Arrival and departure times
Arrivals are on the day of your reservation from 4 PM to 7 PM. Departure from the treehouse is before 11 AM the next day.

For everyone's comfort
To preserve the calm and spirit of the premises, gatherings of people are not permitted on the domain or in the treehouses. The number of people indicated for each accommodation corresponds to the maximum authorized capacity. We thank you for your understanding and your participation in respecting everyone's tranquility.

Pets
For the well-being of all our visitors and the preservation of the site, pets are not allowed.

Booking

Are pets allowed?

No. Pets are not allowed in order to preserve the tranquility of the estate and the comfort of all our guests.

Can I give a stay as a gift?

Yes, gift vouchers are available so you can share the Cabanes de Fontfroide experience with your loved ones.

Can we book just one night?

For our 7 treehouses, the minimum stay duration may vary depending on the time of year and availability. For the guest room, a minimum two-night stay is required. The conditions applicable to your stay are specified at the time of your reservation.

Is the estate open year-round?

Yes, the Cabanes de Fontfroide estate welcomes you all year long.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 4 PM to 7 PM. Check-out is before 11 AM the day after your stay.

Comfort

Are the cabins heated?

Heating is available as an option and can be booked directly online or on-site during your stay. The Authentic range cabins are equipped with gas heating, while the Escape range cabins feature electric heating.

Are the treehouses kid-friendly?

Yes, some treehouses are accessible to children under adult supervision. Access conditions are specified on each treehouse’s page.

Are the treehouses lit at night?

Yes, they have solar lighting as well as votive candles (except in summer), to maintain a cozy atmosphere while respecting the environment.

Can we bring a sleeping bag?

Yes, sleeping bags are allowed in the treehouses. However, you must bring your own pillowcases.

Can we dine on site?

Yes, you can order a local specialty basket and enjoy it right in your treehouse or on your terrace. Baskets can be reserved online or up to 48 hours in advance, so we can prepare your order with care.

Can we host a party or event on the property?

No. To preserve the peace and quiet of the site, gatherings and parties are not permitted. Each accommodation must adhere to the maximum capacity specified at the time of booking.

Do I need to bring my own sheets?

Bedding kits are available as an option. You can also bring your own bed linens. To help us maintain the quality of our bedding, we ask that you bring a complete set including a fitted sheet or flat sheet, a duvet cover or top sheet, and pillowcases. Duvets and pillows are provided on-site.

Do the treehouses have water and electricity?

Our treehouses don’t have running water. A bathroom area is available nearby, between 60 and 200 meters from your cabin. As for electricity, the Évasion range cabins are equipped with a 220V power outlet. The Authentique range cabins, on the other hand, do not have power outlets. These details are specified on each accommodation’s page to help you best prepare for your stay.

Is breakfast included in the stay?

Yes, breakfast is included with all reservations and is delivered to you in a basket every morning during your stay.

Is there on-site parking?

Yes, free parking is available for visitors near the reception.

What to bring for your stay?

Remember to bring your towels, season-appropriate clothing, a charged cell phone, a flashlight, and a lighter to enjoy the tealight holders (except in summer).

No. Each treehouse is unique and was designed based on the tree that hosts it. Their height, access, and configuration offer a different experience with each stay.

Where are the restrooms located?

A shared bathroom facility is located near the cabins, between 60 and 200 meters away depending on your accommodation. It includes showers, sinks, and toilets, and is ADA-accessible.

Other questions

Do I need to bring my own linens for the guest room?

No, unlike the treehouses, bed linens are included for the guest room. The beds are made before you arrive, so you don’t need to bring your own sheets.

Does the guest room have a private bathroom?

Yes, the guest room has its own private bathroom, directly accessible from the room.

Des amis m'ont offert une nuit aux Cabanes de Fontfroide que j'ai partagé avec ma femme et nous avons adoré ! L'accueil est adorable, l'environnement soigné et la cabane est magique. Nous avons passé une magnifique nuit automnale en couple dans une cabane très cosy. Du haut de notre superbe terrasse, il y a des toilettes sèches. Nous avons mangé un excellent dîner, livré dans un petit panier, à faire remonter grâce à un système de poulie. Puis le lendemain nous avons eu notre petit-déjeuner très complet. Le cadre est superbe, en pleine forêt, avec la ferme pédagogique et les chèvres. Nous nous sommes régalés. Une parenthèse hors du temps, non loin de Romans, qui fait du bien !

Super expérience dans la cabanes Amande avec nos 2 enfants âgés de 5 et 9 ans .
Le parc est sécurisé et les enfants peuvent se promener tranquillement dans le parc,
Ils ont adorés les animaux et surtout les chèvres 🐐.
Le parc et les infrastructures sont très bien  entretenus et la propreté est irréprochable.
Les repas faits maison sont copieux et délicieux .
Un merveilleux moment en famille qui nous a bien donné envie de revenir l’année prochaine !!

Nous avons séjourné dans la chambre d'hôtes "4 saisons" pour 2 nuits, avec un bon cadeau. Le site est très beau, toutes les cabanes sont espacées les unes des autres pour préserver le calme et l'intimité de chacun. La chambre était très propre, joliment décorée, et bien aménagée.
Nous avons pris le panier fraîcheur et le panier terroir, tous deux très bons et copieux, idem pour le panier du petit déjeuner (inclus). Ca nous a donné envie de revenir pour tester les cabanes! Les cabane sont tres belles et propres.
Le service est royal. Le couple de propriétaires est super sympa et tres accueillants.
